Be careful when combing

Especially after showers, your hair tends to be more fragile when it’s wet. So make sure that you are gentle and extra careful when combing your hair from roots to tips. Preferably, use a wide-toothed comb when combing after a shower. 

Be mindful of your shampoos

You may not be aware of this, but some of the most common shampoos that you use contain chemicals that can damage your hair and scalp in the long run. It’s also important to find a shampoo that your skin won’t be irritated with and will suit your type. Remember, the lesser the chemicals, the better. 

Avoid excessive use of blow dryer

As much as possible, let your hair dry naturally. Excessive use of a blow dryer tends to damage your hair and hair scalp because of its extreme heat. We’re not saying to fully avoid this, but minimize it to some important events. Alternatively, you can dry your hair naturally with the use of a towel, but make sure not to be rough because this can damage your hair cuticle. However, if you desperately need to use a curler or a blow dryer, you can also invest in a reliable heat protectant serum.

Use conditioner

Using conditioner is one of the best things you can do to your hair as it protects them from being damaged by harsh particles from the environment and heat styling. Apply generously to your hair and make sure to wash it thoroughly with cold water.

Eat healthily

Your hair needs nutrition as much as your whole body does. Biotin and protein are 2 of the most essential nutrients for hair growth. The best foods to eat for healthy hair are:
